His practice encompasses the conceptual development and production of audiovisual content, cinematography, editing, as well as the creative and technical implementation of multimedia projects.
A particular focus of his work lies in the cultural sector. His projects include a live camera performance for Landestheater Linz and the conceptualisation of a digital stage for a production at the SCHÄXPIR International Theater Festival. In these productions, he explores the intersection of film and theatre by integrating live footage and cinematic sequences directly into the stage performance. His experience also includes the production of corporate films, trailers, theatre recordings, live streams and hybrid event formats. His photographic work spans portraiture, fashion, product and performance photography.
Alongside his commissioned work, Georgi Sarkezi develops independent artistic projects. His work moves between film, performance and fine arts. He is particularly interested in experimental forms of storytelling and in exploring the possibilities of film beyond its conventional applications. He also collaborates with other artists, working across different media and materials.
Together with Eva Stöflin, he forms the artist duo Blüten & Papaya. Their interdisciplinary practice combines audiovisual media, performance, and textile- and material-based art. With their performance film El Cultivo de la Mente, the duo was featured at the Ars Electronica Festival 2026.
After completing his training at Filmschule Wien, specialising in cinematography and editing, he went on to study Timebased and Interactive Media Arts at the University of Art and Design Linz. Following several years of professional work in Upper Austria and international projects, he is now working independently from Graz.
